Actress Aishwarya Rai, who is busy playing mother to her three-and-half-month-old daughter, says her mom Vrinda is responsible for whatever she is today.

"She is the nucleus of my existence; who has gently moulded me, shaped me, picked me up when I've been down, has faith in me and taught me to be the very best version of me that I can be," Aishwarya said in a statement.

Actress Aishwarya Rai, who is busy playing mother to her three-and-half-month-old daughter, says her mom Vrinda is responsible for whatever she is today.

The former beauty queen acknowledged her mother with a special award of 'She's Worth It' at the L'Oreal Paris Femina Awards 2012 recently.

Aishwarya was herself honoured with 'The Iconic Woman of Worth' award at the event.

National award winning Marathi director Sachin Kundalkar is making his Hindi debut with the film Aiyya starring Malayalam actor Prithvi Raj and Rani Mukherjee. The film is a romantic quirky love story between a Maharashtrian girl and a south Indian boy.

In a casting coup of sorts, yesteryear’s top stars Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla will be seen in the film in a special sequence.

The film is being produced by Anurag Kashyap and this is also Prithvi Raj’s debut in Bollywood.

Manoj Bajpayee to play CBI agent in Special Chabbis

Manoj Bajpayee has a extremely hard task on in front. He has to play the character that Akshay Kumar will be masquerading as in Neeraj Pandey's real-life heist drama Special Chabbis.

To recap a bit, the film is based on the real-life daring heist in 1987 where an unknown man posing as 'CBI officer Mon Singh' recruited 26 men and executed a daylight raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhuvandas Bhimji Jewellers, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs.

Akshay Kumar has been recruited to play the imposer CBI officer. Now interestingly Manoj Bajpai has been roped in to play the real CBI officer.
"So you could say Akshay and Manoj would be playing spitting images of one another, one real and the other an imposter," says a source
Manoj who hasn't played a cop since School and Jago is very excited about getting the hang of a role where he has to play against Akshay Kumar within the same space.

Says a friend of Manoj, "It's a real challenge. Because Manoj has to be exactly what Akshay's character is posing to be. It's a tough role requiring loads of groundwork. And it comes at a time when Manoj Bajpai has to get ready for his role of a naxalite in Prakash Jha's next."

Manoj and director Neeraj Pandey remained unavailable for comment.

Riteish Deshmukh marries Genelia D'Souza

Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh got married in a traditional Marathi wedding.

Marriage date: Feb 3rd 2012

Among those present were Sharad Pawar, Prithviraj Chavan, Praful Patel, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn.

Riteish (32) and Genelia (24) had been seeing each other since their Bollywood debut 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' in 2003.

In a run-up to the main ceremony, a pre-wedding bash was organised by actor Fardeen Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala on January 25 followed by a sangeet ceremony at Taj Lands End hotel in suburban Bandra on January 31.

It is official. Riteish and Genelia are man and wife. Here's a look at some of the pictures from the wedding.
